Visit of Muanza District Administrator – Doroteia Ambrósio

Muanza District Administrator, Doroteia Ambrósio and her team had a 2-day working visit to Gorongosa National Park, starting on November 12th, to better understand the activities that are taking place in the Park’s different sectors.

The visitors were able to climb Gorongosa Mountain and visit the coffee production fields, interact with farmers and learn about the process of sowing, harvesting, selling and processing coffee in the factory. They also visited the Community Education Center with the aim of better understanding the distribution of different programs in the Sustainable Development Zones, especially in the district of Muanza.

Doroteia said she was impressed, not only by the biodiversity of the Park, but also by the work that is being carried out to support the well-being of the families that live around the Park. She also asked for the inclusion of other programs and a joint collaboration among all the districts that surround the Park.

The PRM Commander of Muanza and the District Director of Education, Youth and Technologies, Health, Infrastructure, Agriculture, among others, were present at the visit. The visit was marked by a warm welcome from the Parks rangers and other employees at Gorongosa National Park.
