Augusto Bila

My name is Augusto Bila, I am from Maputo province, and I work at Gorongosa National Park as a producer, cameraman, and editor.

I have always had a passion for photography and video, inspired by the fact that I grew up in a family of Media and Communication professionals (my uncles) and this helped me develop my love for this work.

When I was in high school, after school I used to go to my uncle’s company to learn filming and video editing.

While I was doing my degree in economics and planning, I was also filming and getting video editing jobs in Maputo, which allowed me to meet and work with very talented professionals.

In 2017, I joined the wonderful team at Gorongosa National Park, and since then I have been contributing by making films about conservation, science, and human development in the park.

I feel extremely proud to be part of the Gorongosa family and to be able to work with a team of talented and dedicated people who day and night give their best to help restore one of the best conservation areas in the world.
