Gorongosa Park’s Gabriela Curtiz brought joy and nourishment to several neighborhoods in the town of Gorongosa this holiday season with Christmas and New Year’s celebrations.
Thanks to the donations and support of her family, friends, and associates, over 500 children enjoyed festive meals, played games, listened to music, and received heartfelt gifts.
“We served meals that nourished both body and soul, provided gifts that brighten children’s days, and reminded the community that they are valued and loved,” she said.
In a year overshadowed by the challenges of El Niño, Curtiz said these celebrations offered much-needed hope and happiness to the community, with 12 local families receiving food aid to help them navigate difficult times.
Curtiz expressed heartfelt gratitude to the donors who made these efforts possible.
“Thank you for being a part of this journey,” she said. “Your support means the world to us, and we hope you feel as proud as we do of what we’ve accomplished. Together, we’ve planted seeds of hope and joy that will inspire these children and families for years to come.”
