Ecology Day, which is usually celebrated on September 14th, is an important date that invites us to reflect on the relationship between humans and the environment. This day aims to raise awareness about the importance of preserving ecosystems, protecting biodiversity, and promoting sustainable practices in our daily lives. By celebrating ecology, we are also valuing the balance of nature and the responsibility we all have in building a greener, healthier future for future generations.
It is worth noting that the activity is celebrated annually byPark’s master’s students. This year, it was proposed, planned, and logistically coordinated by the students, with the support of technicians from the science department and all other departments working hard to protect and conserve biodiversity.
The presentation about ecology day and the demonstration of Parthenium removal are expected to raise awareness and mobilize the approximately 1000 PNG workers to the problem of invasive species (which have major impacts on local species populations worldwide).

I am passionate of nature and i admire the good work you are doing at GNP.
I have recently participated on an “World day clean up” initiative where our target was Costa do Sol beach ( from CCJC to CD SOL Restaurant). Very sad how the environment is being mistreated in this part of the country and if we, along with the authorities could do something to prevent such behaviour, it would be of great help.
Let it be more clean up initiatives, let it be more environment consciousness for a better world.
GNP, would you please assist on this?! – Costa Do Sol Beach regular Clean up.
