Muzimu Lodge is a beautiful and exclusive retreat located on the banks of the Mussicadzi River in Gorongosa National Park – a 4,000-square-kilometer area of beautiful, untouched wilderness, situated at the very end of the Africa’s Great Rift Valley in Mozambique.
Six, spacious East African canvas chalets offer decks, outdoor seating areas, king-size or twin beds with mosquito screens, bar service, tea and coffee-making facilities, ceiling fans, and en-suite bathrooms with showers that guarantee personal privacy.
The lodge’s commitment to excellence extends to Muzimu’s optional adventure activities. Whether guests embark on a thrilling wildlife drive or set out on a walking safari, they can count on professionals to guide them on extraordinary journey and first-class safari experience through the Mozambican wilderness.
But it’s more than the adventure that sets Muzimu apart; it’s the details transform an overnight stay into an exceptional experience. From high-end toiletries to a glass of bubbly at breakfast, Muzimu staff and hosts go the extra mile.
The camp’s culinary team craft gourmet dishes from scratch, with fresh, locally grown produce sourced whenever possible. Special dietary requirements may be accommodated upon request.
A comprehensive full-board pricing package includes all meals, local house drinks, beverages, drinking water, tea, and coffee, allowing guests to enjoy the wonders of the wild without worrying about additional costs.
A plunge pool and spa services allow Muzimu guests to indulge in the perfect blend of relaxation and rejuvenation. After cooling off (or warming up) in the plunge pool, facials and aromatherapy are available from trained professionals in a serene and nurturing atmosphere. The result: A truly indulgent escape, leaving guests completely rejuvenated for their next adventure.
Reservations are now available for the remainder of 2023 and 2024. Don’t miss the opportunity to embark on an extraordinary African adventure. For rates and reservations, email safari@gorongosa.net.
When is a good time to visit. We would prefer in not too hot. What is the cost for a weeks stay for a couple please?
Further to previous comment I suffer from sleep apnea and have to wear mask at night. Is there a power point in chalet for this?
