Gorongosa National Park is officially open!
New this year: Gorongosa Wild Camps. Comfortable yet classic, Gorongosa Wild Camp safaris offer guests a nomadic camping experience with resort style comfort, amenities and services.
Camping accommodations feature canvas tents and beds, (single or twin occupancy), solar lighting, USB ports for charging phones, outdoor showers and toilets, evening camp fires and an outdoor dining area with all meals prepared by our experienced chef.
Safari activities include day and night wildlife drives to see some of Africa’s big attractions – lion, elephant, buffalo, hippo, antelope, painted wolves, warthogs, and on occasion, a rare sighting of a leopard or zebra. Trips to Lake Urema, home to one of the largest sites of nesting water birds in Africa, feature a spectacular show of color. Waterfall swims, cycling tours, treks, hikes and community visits are also available.
This year’s 2022 Wild Camp Special includes accommodations, all meals, and two activities per day. Rates start at 19,250 MZN per person, per night for double occupancy; 28,875 MZN per person, per night for single occupancy. Email safari@gorongosa.net for details.
