Art, creativity and innovation are themes that were part of a four-day exchange of ideas between the facilitators of the Gorongosa National Park’s Pre-school Child Development Program.

The educators came together to talk about their experiences and produce teaching materials which are designed for and will be used to improve the children’s learning in the classroom.

Themes related to language and literacy, natural and social sciences, mathematics, art and creativity, will allow the children to have choices according to their area of interest, and to observe, manipulate, experiment and innovate their learning skills.

Eight facilitators were part of this process, four from the community of Vinho in the district of Nhamantanda and four from the community of Nhambita in the district of Gorongosa. For all of them this meeting served as an opportunity for more learning, clarification and to learn how the material can be used in the classroom.
