Standard Bungalows

If solitude is what you seek, these rooms are for you – nestled under the trees in a quiet area of camp, you can sit on your enclosed porch to watch baboons play, warthogs dig, and birds flutter from tree to tree. As the sun begins to set and camp goes quiet, sit perfectly still and you can watch nonchalant civets and antelopes looking for an evening meal. The bungalows offer a private experience as each unit is generously spaced apart from the next.
After a long hike to Mount Gorongosa, nothing feels as nice as a hot shower and a nap on a soft bed. Your room still feels like Africa with high thatched ceilings allowing the breeze to circulate. Start your day off with a complimentary breakfast at Chikalango restaurant each morning.
Tell us if you would like the beds to be arranged as two separate twin-sized beds or one king-sized bed for a couple. All of the doors and windows are equipped with screens to keep out mosquitos and the beds come with mosquito netting, so you don’t have to bring your own. Air conditioning, hair dryers, mini fridge, lock-up safe, bathroom amenities, and a kettle with coffee and tea making supplies are provided for your comfort. Two of the standard bungalows have inter-connecting rooms, which are great for families or a group of close friends.
