Supporting women is essential for building a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world. When vulnerable girls see and can access relatable role models, we unlock a world of opportunities, fostering sustainable growth, healthier economies, and greater benefits for the environment, society and humanity at large.
Designed to inspire, an updated Gorongosa Role Models Brochure (second edition) brings the journeys of 30 women to our Girls Clubs, igniting a sense of possibility and inspiring girls to explore the many diverse career paths available to them in today’s world.
The publication was produced with support from the Wild Elements Foundation, the Wildlife Conservation Network, and the role models of Gorongosa National Park. The 37-page, full-color brochure features the stories of women who work in Gorongosa National Park and hold jobs in sustainable development, communications, science, human resources, administration and finance, operations and logistics, conservation and human development.
Released on March 8, International Women’s Day, 1,000 copies will be distributed to Gorongosa Girls Clubs on April 7.
Led by 238 dedicated young women and men and mentored by 1200 godmothers, these clubs are a sources of empowerment and inspiration. A place where we encourage girls to dream big, reach for the stars, and as young women, emerge as Mozambican leaders of the future.
When women support women, they break the cycle of poverty and empower girls to make informed decisions about their lives. Gorongosa Girls Clubs embody this spirit, creating a world where every girl can thrive, lead and inspire.
