The Secondary School Youth Clubs of the districts of Cheringoma, Dondo, Gorongosa, Nhamatanda, Maringué and Muanza recently held their first SKILLZ session this year.
SKILLZ is a customized package of youth training that addresses the specific sexual and reproductive health needs and conservation context of adolescents from communities in and around the park.
SKILLZ uses soccer as a way to start debates on topics important in a young life (health, education, preservation of the environment, among other issues) and the program’s interactive approach helps young people and girls engage in relevant debates about life, by supporting as they build the skills they need to achieve their career goals.
All members must sign a contract to comply with the SKILLZ’s four pillars: respect, participation, leading and caring for the environment.
