A total of 156 students, 116 of whom are in Mazamba and 40 in Chite, are enrolled in the new Distance Secondary Education Program. Enrollment is expected to grow in the coming years, and will include mostly girls and women.
A new training program designed to respond to the needs of the students and improve the quality of distance learning instruction was introduced for 25 facilitators this year. Administrative and Pedagogical Management, now taught by members of the Ministry of Education, is provide the facilitators with the knowledge they need to support students going to school in the district of Cheringoma.
The new Distance Secondary Education Program was introduced in 2022 is helping students from schools around Gorongosa Park continue their studies.
