Gorongosa National Park’s Peace Club facilitators from the Cheringoma and Gorongosa districts received additional training in adult education methodology, implementing projects for the development of communities, skills for dealing with people involved in the armed conflict, above all, to address gender issues, opening up space for women to share their ideas and experience.

The training goals included helping local communities identify and solve immediate problems, setting up income projects and savings groups, enrolling and encouraging the literacy students to join the classrooms and raising awareness about environmental conservation.

The training program ended with the production and use of teaching materials from recyclable objects and other local resources available for use during the instruction and learning process for young people and adults.

The training was delivered in late August.
